Community Alert: Protect Yourself from Doorstep Crime

West Yorkshire Trading Standards’ Financial Exploitation & Abuse Team (WYFEAT) has launched a new doorstep crime awareness video to help protect residents from rogue traders and cold callers.

The short (3‑minute) video explains:

The video features Shirley, who shares her real‑life experience and offers practical advice on how to deal with unexpected callers at your door.

👉 The key message: Say NO to rogue traders.

This easy‑to‑follow video is particularly important for people who may be more vulnerable to doorstep crime, including older residents and those living alone.
